Back Up DVD's and CD's

One of the best things families with young children can do to protect their expensive software and DVD's is to make a back up copy.

While durable to some extent, couples with young children know that items such as CD's and DVD's can be destroyed in an instant. The software and movies can be replaced, but it starts to add up. This is true especially when disks that have been destroyed are expensive software programs or hard to find movies.

It is just a fact of life that kids are into everything The do not generally realize the amount of damage they can inflict on a CD or DVD while merely holding it or setting it down somewhere other than it's case.

Now that so many kid friendly vehicles have the capability to play movies, taking them from house to car can be a disaster. They can be dropped, closed in car doors, left on the dashboard to fall on to the floor, stepped on and just overall ruined. By simply having a back up or by using the back up copy over the original, having something happen to your movies isn't near the tragedy it could have been.
